Ricky Hatton Loses to Floyd Mayweather

After all the hype and build up in the weeks and particularly the days before the great fight, English hearts were broken when Floyd Mayweather beat Ricky Hatton in the 10th round at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas las night.

There was a real expectancy from Hattons fans all over the UK and in Sin City that he would win this fight against all the odds, and you could tell from the chanting inside the arena that he had great support. To be honest I though the fight was a bit of a let down, Hatton tried hard but Mayweather simply took it all in his stride and soaked up the pressure.

Ricky Hatton should have been able to see this after a few rounds and maybe tried changing his tactics, but finally the endless punches he was throwing wore him down and Mayweather took advantage of this with some hard punches to Hatton. In the tenth round Mayweather ‘took care of business’ and finished Hatton off, with Ricky left simply to say ’sorry’ to his fans.
